Lifestyle
From Ultra Space, it lost its light after a grave injury and now drains it from beings and places. The pain makes it violent. It seeks the light of Solgaleo and Lunala.
In the anime
The Aether Foundation mistook it for an Ultra Beast and coded it UB Black. Foe in an arc about Poipole's world, it becomes Ultra Necrozma when Alola offers its Ultra Aura.
Name origin
Its name, the same in French, English, and Japanese, echoes nekrós, “death,” kuro, “black,” prîsma, “prism,” and Project Ozma.
