It evolves from Makuhita. Almost pure muscle, it hardens like stone and can stop a train with one palm strike. It lives in the mountains.

Brawly's Makuhita evolves into Hariyama during a Gym battle against Ash.
Name origin
Hariyama comes from Hariteyama: harite, an open-hand sumo strike, haritaosu, to knock down, and yama, mountain. The topknot and two-toed feet quote sumo.
