Its story

Appearance

Haxorus is a biped with olive-green skin, a black torso, and black thighs. Huge black tusks edged in red, shaped like axe blades, jut from its jaw.

Lifestyle

Proud of its unbreakable tusks, it slices steel, yet stays friendly unless they are touched. It lives in caves and abandoned mines and evolves from Fraxure.

In the anime

Iris's Axew reaches this form. Drayden's beats her Excadrill, which disobeys for years, then they draw. Rhoder's, under Colress's machines, rampages through a city.

Name origin

Masuda says Haxorus was the first Black and White Pokémon, designed during Platinum. It swings axe-like fangs. The name may blend hack, axe, and -saurus.

It eats minerals in the soil to keep its blades sharp.
