Lifestyle
It evolves from Tyrogue and fights in cities with dance-like kicks that strike and guard. Spinning on its horn, it moves faster than it walks and can drill into the ground.

Name origin
Unlike Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, its name comes from no celebrity. Hitmontop blends hit, monster, and top, and it evokes a spinning top and capoeira.
