Honedge looks like a medieval sword: silver blade, light-gray hilt, and a blue gem eye. A dark-blue prehensile cloth holds the brown sheath. Its true body is the eye on the guard.

Its story
Lifestyle
A departed spirit is said to inhabit the sword that killed them. Nocturnal, it lives on grassy plains. Grabbing the hilt lets it drain all life energy. It evolves into Doublade, then Aegislash.
In the anime
On screen it is Argus Steel's main Pokémon in the Diancie films. Sawyer's loses to Ash's Pikachu, then becomes Doublade and Aegislash.
Name origin
Hitoshi Ariga designed a sentient possessed sword, echoing a soul-bearing katana, the tsukumogami, and Tyrfing. Honedge may blend hone, one, and edge.
