Lifestyle
It evolves from Houndour and can Mega Evolve. Toxins poison its flames: they stink, and the burns never heal.
In the anime
Harrison's Houndoom helps recover Ho-Oh's flame, defeats Ash's Snorlax, then loses to Bayleef and to a Rhyhorn.
Name origin
Horns and a pointed tail recall the devil; the rest echoes hellhounds. Houndoom may blend hound and doom, a terrible fate.
