Its story
Lifestyle
Loyal, it hunts in a tight pack and will not abandon a sick member. Only the pack understands its barks; howls claim territory. It evolves into Houndoom.
In the anime
A pack steals food for a sick member until Ash takes it to a Pokémon Center.
Name origin
It suggests hellhounds, Cerberus, and a Dobermann. Houndour may blend hound and dour, meaning grim, while Japanese Delvil may twist the word devil.
