It evolves from Drowzee. Far from humans, it swings its pendulum to put passersby to sleep and eat their dreams.
In the anime
HopHopHop Town's club counts on it for sleep, but its Sleep Waves disturb children until Drowzee sets things right.
Name origin
Its look suggests a tapir, a hypnotist, the dream-eating baku, and the proboscis monkey. The name Hypno may come from hypnosis.
