Its story
Lifestyle
It lives at the water's edge, often buried in sand, and defends its territory. A lost pincer grows back quickly, and it evolves into Kingler.
In the anime
Ash catches one and sends it to Professor Oak. At the Indigo Plateau, it defeats an Exeggutor, then evolves.
Name origin
It seems based on a crab, possibly the samurai crab or the sand bubbler crab. Its name may blend crab with crabby, meaning grouchy.
