Appearance
Klawf is a mostly orange crustacean with a cream belly and pink cheeks that can glow red. Its rugged shell has three pentagonal bumps, stalked eyes, claws, and black bristles.

Its story
Lifestyle
It clings upside down or sideways to steep cliffs, then drops onto nearby prey. One claw pins a foe while the other strikes, and it sidesteps to dodge.
In the anime
Five Klawf appear for the first time in the series and attack a photographer who angered them by accident.
Name origin
The design echoes bristly crabs and rock climbing. Klawf may blend claw and cliff; Japanese Gakegani joins gake (cliff) with kani (crab).
