« A violent creature that fells towering trees with its crude axes and shields itself with hard stone. If one should chance upon this Pokémon in the wilds, one's only recourse is to flee. »

Its story

Appearance

Kleavor looks like a mantis whose beige and white shell has turned craggy and rock-like. Its thin forelegs end in huge, extremely sharp axes of black stone.

Lifestyle

Rough and violent, it swings its axes to fell trees, mark territory, and finish prey. It evolves from Scyther with a very rare Black Augurite. Scizor is its other final form.

In the anime

A giant, it is one of the Six Heroes, once Lucius's Pokémon. It returns to its Ancient Poké Ball and accepts Liko's care. Pagogo's Terastal energy makes it Terastallize into a Bug type.

Name origin

The design suggests a praying mantis, and the black stone recalls obsidian. The axes echo the axe bug. Kleavor bends cleaver, perhaps with razor.
