Its story
Lifestyle
It mixes toxins with garbage to make gas lighter than air, which lets it hover. It feeds in dumps and polluted air, then evolves into Weezing.
In the anime
James's Koffing becomes his signature Pokémon and evolves into Weezing. He later releases it with Jessie's Arbok to protect wild Koffing.
Name origin
Its floating, explosive body suggests a naval mine, a living meteorite, and smog. The name Koffing twists the word coughing.
