Its story
Lifestyle
It shoots fire from its horns to intimidate, scare off prey, or lift itself. It lives at the feet of volcanoes and evolves into Volcarona, its body wrapped in flames like a cocoon.
In the anime
With Luke, it defeats Cilan's Stunfisk and handles the special effects in his movies. Later, a Shiny Larvesta evolves into Volcarona: the first Shiny evolution in the series.
Name origin
Based on a moth larva, with a nod to the woolly worm and the Valais Blacknose sheep. The horns suggest a halo or sun rays. Larvesta blends larva with Vesta, goddess of the hearth.
