Its story

Appearance

Lechonk is a stout gray-black hog with a brown face, droopy ears that partly cover its eyes, and yellow marks like teardrops. It has a pink snout, pink hooves, and a short curled tail.

Lifestyle

It sniffs out fragrant grasses and rich Berries, and its herbal smell repels bug Pokémon. Timid but mostly muscle, it panics and charges if startled, then evolves into Oinkologne.

In the anime

In Pokémon Horizons, Lechonk turns hostile toward Trainers carrying groceries or meals and attacks them for their food.

Name origin

Lechonk may combine lechón, Spanish for suckling piglet, and chonk, slang for a fat animal. It recalls a young black Iberian pig and a truffle hog.

With female Oinkologne, it is the only Pokémon with Aroma Veil as a normal Ability.
