Lifestyle
It fans water feathers from its tail into a spinning blade and kicks hard enough to launch a truck. Cheerful, it dances even in its sleep, and it evolves from Quaxwell.
In the anime
Dot's Quaquaval debuts when her Quaxwell evolves in a battle against Iono's Bellibolt. In that same episode, he Terastallizes into a pure Water type for the first time.
Name origin
Quaquaval may combine quá-quá (duck sounds), aqua, and carnaval. Its peacock-like train and dances draw from carnival, including Brazilian samba.
Did you know?
- It is the only known Pokémon that can learn Aqua Step.
- As of Generation IX, it is the only final Water-type starter that cannot learn Ice Beam or Blizzard.
