Its muscles never tire. It can hurl as many as one hundred adults, trains in every martial art, lives in the mountains, and evolves into Machoke, then Machamp.

Brawly's Machop beats Ash's Taillow in a Gym battle, then falls to Treecko. In the rematch, Ash's newly caught Corphish defeats it.
Name origin
Machop combines macho, a Spanish and Portuguese word for male, and chop. It suggests a bodybuilder with reptilian traits.
