Its story
Lifestyle
It evolves from Magmar and is the final form of Magby. A single pair lives in each volcanic crater. It fires fireballs hotter than 2,000 °C, but avoids that when hunting.
In the anime
It debuts with Paul, revealed to have evolved from his Magmar. Later, Kiawe's Turtonator defeats Mad Magmar's at the Manalo Conference.
Name origin
Hironobu Yoshida designed it as a bulked-up Magmar: the Karura, a duck or booby, a mythical salamander, and iguana spikes. Magmortar may blend magma and mortar.
