Lifestyle
It flies by antigravity, feeds on electric current, and lives on rough ground, often near power plants. It evolves from Magnemite into Magnezone.
In the anime
Clemont keeps a Magneton at the Lumiose Gym so Clembot can battle in his place. It can split into three Magnemite.
Name origin
Magneton echoes the magneton, a unit tied to magnetic moment. The Japanese name Rarecoil blends rare with coil.
