Appearance
Magnemite has a gray metal sphere, one large eye, and two horseshoe magnets tipped blue and red. Three screws mark it, one on top like an antenna.

Lifestyle
Its magnets let it float and can upset devices. It lives in power plants and caves, and evolves into Magneton, then Magnezone.
In the anime
In blacked-out Gringey City, it is drawn to Ash's Pikachu. A group then helps drive off Grimer led by a Muk.
Name origin
Magnemite blends magnet with mite, a tiny thing. Sugimori designed it from Tajiri's idea, based on magnets and screws.
