Appearance
Marill is a small, almost round blue rodent with a white belly and ears red inside. Its zigzagging black tail ends in a blue ball full of oil.

Lifestyle
At the water's edge it grazes and fishes; the ball floats while it dives. It is born from Azurill and evolves into Azumarill.

Lyra's Marill is her main partner. Tracey's, friendly and protective, also appears in the series.
Name origin
It suggests a mouse mixed with a lifebuoy or a ball of lake algae. Marill may blend marine and rill.
