Appearance
Mew is pink and walks on two legs. Wide snout, triangular ears, large blue eyes, three-fingered paws, and a long thin tail with an oval tip. Its fur is seen only under a microscope.

Lifestyle
Playful and highly intelligent, Mew is said to hold every Pokémon's DNA, so many think it is their ancestor. It levitates, teleports, transforms, turns invisible, and makes an energy orb.
In the anime
Mew fought its clone Mewtwo to stop it from destroying the world. Later, catching Mew became Goh's main reason to grow as a Trainer.
Name origin
The name Mew comes from the Japanese myūtanto, meaning mutant. Mr. Fuji found it deep in the jungle and gave it that name.
