Appearance
Mothim looks like a nocturnal moth, with two pairs of tan wings marked by orange ovals and square tips. Its eyes are orange, its body black, and each wingbeat scatters steel-colored scales.

Its story
Lifestyle
Always on the move, it searches fields and mountains for honey and nectar, but steals from Combee hives. Only male Burmy become Mothim.
In the anime
Cheryl's Mothim, evolved from her Burmy, helps her look for the Amber Castle. Later, several Mothim help pull a Wailmer from the sewers.
Name origin
Mothim suggests a fully grown male bag moth, while the female stays wingless in a cocoon. The name may blend moth and him, and perhaps nim, "to steal."

- It has four gray legs and a short black tail split into two squares.
