Lifestyle
It lives in tropical forests, climbs well, and plays its leaf like a flute. It evolves from Seedot and evolves into Shiftry.
In the anime
Several Nuzleaf cause trouble in a forest where Ash's Pokémon are lost. Yoko's Nuzleaf brings Gardenia a note, then referees her Gym battle with Ash.
Name origin
It echoes a sprouting acorn and the tengu, a long-nosed yōkai that guards forests and plays tricks. Nuzleaf may blend nose or nuzzle with leaf.
