Appearance
Palpitoad is a two-legged blue amphibian with an oval body and a tan mark from belly to forehead. Three turquoise lumps ring its head, four light-blue bumps cross its back, and its tail is white.

Its story
Lifestyle
Its long sticky tongue pins then catches prey, and vibrating its head lumps creates waves, earthquakes, and intense sounds that weaken prey. It evolves from Tympole into Seismitoad.
In the anime
Ash catches a male Palpitoad after it fought his Oshawott. Clay's Palpitoad beats that Oshawott in a Gym battle, then loses to Snivy.
Name origin
It suggests a toad tadpole, and its lumps mix toads’ parotoid glands with loudspeaker drivers. Palpitoad may combine palpitation and toad; it and Tympole were designed backward from Seismitoad.
