Its story
Lifestyle
Parasitic mushrooms command its actions and make it drain tree roots. It lives in caves or damp forests and evolves into Parasect.
In the anime
Cassandra owns an extremely weak Paras. She needs it to evolve into Parasect to use its giant mushroom in medicine.
Name origin
Paras may come from parasite, for the mushrooms on its back. The idea also echoes ants controlled by a fungus.
