Its story
Lifestyle
The adult tochukaso controls it: without the mushroom, it stops moving. It evolves from Paras, and swarms drain trees until they die.
In the anime
Cassandra's Paras evolves into Parasect after a battle. She can then use its giant mushroom for her medical research.
Name origin
Parasect may combine parasite and insect. It suggests a cicada nymph, or an umbrella crab with a mushroom shell.
