Its story
Lifestyle
Always on alert, it raises its tail to signal danger and lives in tunnels. It is the Scout Pokémon, like Sentret and Hisuian Growlithe, and evolves into Watchog.
In the anime
Three males have their apples stolen by a greedy Emolga. Another, with a Sentret and a Pachirisu, is saved from an Ursaring by Hawlucha.
Name origin
It suggests a prairie dog, a chipmunk, or a meerkat, and the watchfulness of scouts. Patrat blends patrol and rat, with a play on pack rat.
