Appearance
Poochyena looks like a hyena: a gray body, with a black face, throat, belly, and paws, and red eyes on yellow. Two fangs stick out, and the fur at the tail base is rumpled.

Lifestyle
Its smell finds prey: the pack chases until the victim is exhausted, but it may flee if struck back. An omnivore of grasslands, savannas, and forests, it evolves into Mightyena.
In the anime
Several Poochyena attack Professor Birch after he is separated from Ash. Max helps Katrina's evolve and protect the preserve.
Name origin
Its look mixes hyena and wolf, and its stubborn temper recalls the Tasmanian devil. Poochyena may blend pooch and hyena.
