Appearance
Pyukumuku has an oval black body, two pink eyes, and a white star-shaped mouth. Pink spikes line its back, the middle one about twice as long, and a white puff is its tail.

Lifestyle
It picks a spot and stays there, even if it must starve once the food is gone. A slimy coat lets it last a week on land, and people use that fluid as a moisturizer.

Goh caught one while visiting Alola. Another, meant to scare Harper and Sarah at the Pokémon School, punched Rotom when they touched it.
Name origin
It suggests a sea cucumber, a cute sea slug called the sea bunny, and perhaps Wiwaxia. Pyukumuku blends puke, cucumber, and mucus.

- If stepped on or touched on the mouth and spikes, it strikes with a fist-shaped organ.
- Tourists often crush it by accident, creating beach jobs that throw it back into the sea.
