Lifestyle
It reads emotions with its horns and hides if it senses hostility. It lives in cities, then evolves into Kirlia, then Gardevoir or, if male, Gallade.
In the anime
Max finds a very sick Ralts and cares for it with Snorunt. He promises to come back once he can be a Trainer.
Name origin
The design suggests a shy child and empathy: horns like two halves of a heart, and a white elf look. Ralts is a partial anagram of astral, perhaps with waltz.
