Legend says Regigigas created it from magma. Tempered underground for tens of thousands of years, its body, harder than any metal, can no longer be scratched.

Brandon sends it against Ash's Torkoal at the Battle Pyramid, and Registeel wins after a long fight.
Name origin
Its seven-dot face recalls Braille and the Hebrew golems. Among the five giants, it stands for the Iron Age. Its name may come from Latin regis, “royal,” and from steel.
