Lifestyle
Gentle and intelligent, it speaks by telepathy, turns invisible by bending light, and lives in herds near water. As Mega Latias it turns purple and reaches Mach 4.
In the anime
In several stories it disguises itself as a woman. Sight Sharing in the fifth movie lets it see exactly what Latios sees.
Name origin
It blends a jet, a dragon, a griffin, and a bird, and its legless flight suggests the swift. Latias may come from Latin lateō, “I lie hidden,” and the feminine suffix -as.
