Rhyhorn looks like a rhinoceros covered in gray rocky plates. It has a snout horn, shorter in females, red eyes, and a spiked ridge along its back.

Its tiny brain makes it stubborn: once running, it goes straight and keeps going until it falls asleep. It evolves into Rhydon, then Rhyperior.

Grace's Rhyhorn, retired from racing, is her pet in Kalos. Serena tries training it.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori designed it after the Indian rhinoceros and the Uintatherium. Rhyhorn blends rhinoceros, rhyolite, and horn.
