Appearance
Rhydon is a large gray Pokémon that stands on two legs, part dinosaur and part rhinoceros. A cream horn, smaller on females, tips its snout, and spikes run down its back.

Lifestyle
Evolving from Rhyhorn, it walks upright in rough country, then evolves into Rhyperior. Its horn bores through rock until it shatters diamond, and its tail can topple a building.

Blaine's Rhydon faces Ash: Charizard refuses to keep fighting, then Pikachu wins by striking the horn, which draws lightning like a rod.
Name origin
Designed among the first Pokémon by Ken Sugimori, from a rhinoceros, kaiju, and frilled dinosaurs, with a drill-like horn. Rhydon may blend rhinoceros, rhyolite, and don.
