Its story

Appearance

Rillaboom is a gorilla in mixed browns, with orange irises and a long mane of leaves. A music-note lock falls between its eyes.

Lifestyle

It always carries a drum made from a stump and draws two sticks in battle. The best drummer becomes the leader. It evolves from Thwackey.

In the anime

It first appears with the Maximizers. Leon sends it out first against Alain at the Masters Eight, where it can Gigantamax, then against Diantha and Ash.

Name origin

It suggests a gorilla drummer, especially taiko, and the chest-beating of gorillas. Rillaboom may blend gorilla and boom.
