Its story

Appearance

Thwackey is a light-green bipedal monkey with dark-brown arms, ears, and tail, and yellow eyes. Two sticks hold up a leafy tuft like hair.

Lifestyle

With its two sticks it builds a beat: the faster the rhythm, the more its peers respect it. It evolves from Grookey and evolves into Rillaboom.

In the anime

In the series, one Thwackey has only a single stick and drums less well until Ash and Goh help it.

Name origin

It draws on macaques, capuchins, pygmy marmosets, and cavemen. Thwackey may combine thwack and monkey.
