Lifestyle
It keeps to volcanoes. Its tail releases flames and a sweet toxic gas that draws Bug Pokémon. Only females evolve into Salazzle.

Three Salandit owned by Tupp debut in the Alola series, and one returns later. Another fails to take the Egg Lillie watched.
Name origin
It calls to mind toxic salamanders, the fire-belly newt, and bandits. Salandit may blend salamander and bandit.
