It headbutts anyone who meets its gaze, then charges despite poor balance. Its rubbery shed skin can be pulled up to the neck; it becomes Scrafty once fully stretched.

Ash's Egg hatched into a headstrong, overconfident Scraggy that treated every new Pokémon as a rival to beat.
Name origin
Scraggy suggests a scrawny, feisty body in loose-fitting skin. The design is a lizard with sagging shed skin, plus hip-hop and punk stereotypes.
