Trip's Servine becomes Serperior, the species' first appearance. In the films, Mako's loses to Ash's Pikachu at the Eindoak Harvest Festival.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori places it in Western culture, with Lady Oscar. Serperior joins serpent and superior, and the body suggests the basilisk, king of serpents.
