Its story
Lifestyle
Nimble, it dodges, then strikes back and blows fire from its snout. A glutton, it loves roasting Berries, and it evolves into Pignite, then Emboar.
In the anime
Ash earns the trust of a Tepig that Shamus released after a loss, then it evolves against that former owner. Nanette chooses one, captured by Team Rocket and later rescued.
Name origin
Lee HyunJung designed it in a Chinese style, beside Unova's other lines. Tepig suggests a piglet, and the name may blend tepid and pig.
