Lifestyle
Muscles in its forelegs make its fur glow and can blind a predator. It calls other Shinx with the tip of its tail. It evolves into Luxio, then Luxray.

Landis's Shinx plays a major role in the series. In a movie, another fights Dawn's Piplup over a Pecha Berry, then shares it.

Shinx may combine shining, shock, sphinx, or lynx. It suggests a sphinx, a lion cub, and a lynx. The star on its tail may be a spark.
