Its story

Appearance

Sinistea is one of the shortest Pokémon. It lives in a seafoam-green antique teacup with gold rims and a lacy face that changes with its feelings.

Lifestyle

A lonely spirit of forgotten cold tea lives in homes and hotels, then evolves into Polteageist. It drains drinkers' energy, but they spit it out, and stirring it makes it dizzy.

In the anime

A phony Sinistea is born when a Polteageist pours its tea into Diana's cup, then travels with the Rising Volt Tacklers. Allister also has one pour tea into possessed Ash's mouth.

Name origin

Sinistea may combine sinister and tea. James Turner designed it as a poltergeist possessing a teacup, echoing the British tea culture that Galar is based on.

The Antique Form has a teal authenticity stamp under the cup; the Phony Form does not.
Collectors prepare a perfect tea and cup, hoping a Sinistea will possess them.
It holds its cup with a pinky out, and a drip looks like a tongue or tea-bag tag.
