Its flower opens above 64 °F (18 °C) and sometimes serves as a thermometer. It comes from Hoppip, floats toward the sun, and evolves into Jumpluff.

Ephraim nicknames it Skippy and sends it into the Grass Tournament final against Ash's Bulbasaur.
Name origin
Skiploom blends skip and bloom. It suggests a bulb and a dandelion, and its body slightly recalls a dog and a cat.
