Its story
Lifestyle
A poor swimmer, it rides seaweed to hide and store evolution energy. It poisons its prey, then evolves into Dragalge.
In the anime
While fishing, Ash accidentally hooks one and Pikachu is badly poisoned. Other Skrelp live in the wreck of the S.S. Cussler.
Name origin
Skrelp may blend scrawny and kelp, perhaps scrap. Its look recalls the weedy seadragon, and its sickly colors may point to water pollution.
