Appearance
Slaking is a large, bulky, bipedal ape. Most of its shaggy coat is brown. Face, chest, hands, and feet are paler, under thick brows and a broad pink snout like a pig's.

Its story
Lifestyle
It sleeps most of the day, then releases tremendous power all at once. In tropical forests it eats grass and fruit, and it is the final form of Slakoth, after Vigoroth.

Norman's Slaking is beaten by Ash's Grovyle, which earns Ash the Balance Badge.
Name origin
Its bulk suggests giant ground sloths and a gorilla. Slaking may combine slack and king, with a play on slacking.

- Catching it doze off while grazing the grass around it is rare.
- The “king” in the English and Japanese names may point to King Kong, and Bigfoot leaves a trace.
- A balding head, white fur, and far less activity than Vigoroth recall human elders.
