Its story

Appearance

Slowbro is a bipedal pink Pokémon with a tan striped belly and vacant eyes. A Shellder with a gray spiral shell grips its tail.

Lifestyle

Shellder's poison takes away its sense of pain. Peaceful, it lives near water; if Shellder lets go, it becomes Slowpoke again.

In the anime

Professor Westwood's Slowbro is born at Seafoam Island and drives off Team Rocket trying to steal his Pokémon.

Name origin

Ken Sugimori designed it after a hippopotamus, an otter, and a hermit crab. Slowbro may blend slow and bro, short for brother.
