Lifestyle
Shellder's venom unlocks superior intelligence; if it comes off, Slowking becomes a Slowpoke again. In Galar, the Shellder controls it and casts spells.
In the anime
A talking Slowking tells Ash where to find the Island Treasures. Arthur, Alice Telesu's Slowpoke, becomes the first animated Slowking and leaves to lead his colony.
Name origin
Slowking joins slow and king. The body may draw on hippos, giant otters, and salamanders, while the shell suggests a crown or a guru's turban.
