Lifestyle
It marks its territory with paint that can change with its mood. Using Sketch, it copies other Pokémon's moves. It lives among city graffiti.
In the anime
Jack Pollockson's three Smeargle covered Whitestone with graffiti to spread his art, and Team Rocket came after them.
Name origin
It is based on a Beagle and a painter, with a beret and a brush-like tail. Smeargle may blend smear and beagle.
