Lifestyle
Nocturnal, it waits for days in strong webs in temperate and tropical forests, then weakens prey with mild poison. It prefers Cutiefly and evolves into Ariados.

In Catallia City, Officer Jenny uses Spinarak instead of Growlithe, honoring one that stopped the thief Black Arachnid.
Name origin
Spinarak may be based on Japan’s jorō spider, or on spiders with face-like markings. Its name blends spin or spinneret with arachnid.
