Its story
Lifestyle
It hides in its shell, swims very fast, and shoots foamy water with accuracy. Scarce in the wild, it lives near lakes and rivers, and evolves into Wartortle, then Blastoise.
In the anime
Ash's Squirtle, leader of an abandoned gang, befriends Ash and is caught. The others stop a Team Rocket fire and become firefighters.
Name origin
Atsuko Nishida designed it from Blastoise and baby turtles. Squirtle joins “squirt” and “turtle.”
